Just a reminder, I have an exhibition of new paintings opening on October 12. The exhibition is titled Mastering The Art Of Contradiction and will feature a brand new series of paintings. The reception is from 5:00 – 7:00 but I plan on being there til close at 9:30 – 10:00. I will be more specific once I know more information. Hope to see you there!

The exhibition runs from October 12 – November 16. Please see gallery website for weekly hours. Here’s a picture of one of the new paintings. This one is called Sources And Methods.
Photos of works in progress. I’ve still got a lot to complete.
I’m as focused as I can be. Other than seeing clouds as thought bubbles, my imagination is focused on this new body of work. I’m hunkered down, but I’ve still got a million fragments that I’m furiously weaving together into a cohesive visual experience (or something like that). I’ll be hunkered down continuously until October.
I’ve got some things to say, so I keep on fighting!

The publicity materials exist – so this thing must really be happening.
The Edge Of Convergence, my first solo exhibition in a long time (far too long) is finally here. This exhibition is the culmination of a huge series of mixed media paintings I started many years ago.

I finally decided on a title for my upcoming exhibition at Jacksonville State University (February 5-26, 2015). Titles are important to me, regardless of whether they’re mine. Developing a title is an organic process that I usually enjoy. Typically, my goal is to find a title that relates to the content of the artwork. However, good titles sometimes have autobiographical aspects to them as well which can still relate to the content of the artwork itself. After all, art imitates life and life imitates art. That’s the case with my title for this exhibition, The Edge Of Convergence. The Edge Of Convergence is the perfect title for this collection of artwork. It relates to the content of the work, the process in which it was made and the many moments of convergence that have occurred during the time the work was created.
I’ve been so busy, this totally flew under the radar. Fellow map artist Mary Nasser features her favorite artists on her blog. Today was my day. Check it out.
