I made it to the art studio the day after returning from Chicago. I’m trying to ride the wave of creative energy as much as I can. Therefore, I was in the studio every day last week.
I’m also motivated to make more progress on this series because summer break is coming to a close. Soon I will have to switch gears and put on my professor cap. Lots of prep work coming over the next few weeks. This month I start a very busy Fall Semester. I will be teaching three class at Kennesaw State University and two classes at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga!
Here are some work-in-progress images of this series. Still have lots of layers to add. More work left, but I do like how these are coming along.
Another quick art studio update. Last week, I placed some finishing touches (AKA: trimming, numbering and signing) on a couple of new series of silkscreen prints. More prints are in development. All are for sale. Eventually through a web presence. Until then contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org if interested in any way.
Just a reminder, I have an exhibition of new paintings opening on October 12. The exhibition is titled Mastering The Art Of Contradiction and will feature a brand new series of paintings. The reception is from 5:00 – 7:00 but I plan on being there til close at 9:30 – 10:00. I will be more specific once I know more information. Hope to see you there!
Last week, I drove to Kansas City to visit my friend (and fellow artist) Tarin Eicher. I brought along some new work to paste up while out there. Most of it we pasted in Crossroads (specifically Art Alley) and the Historic West Bottoms neighborhood. It was a great trip, had lots of fun. Here are a few images of the work I left behind.
