Over the years I’ve done a lot of street art and other visual forms of exploration off the canvas. My first installation art works were made in graduate school. Getting a MFA in Painting exposed me to the truth that not all ideas are best shown on something other than a single canvas, or any canvas at all.
More recently, I have brought it to the streets. The spark for my street art came from two places. The first was my environment in the urban neighborhoods of Atlanta. From 2014-2021, I lived in Reynoldstown. Just a block from Cabbagetown, and the beating heart of the Atlanta street art world, Krog Street Tunnel. Living here inspired me to contribute in my own way. The second spark was the social, economical and political environment we live in today. This ultimately led to my extensive, multi-media conceptual artwork, the LIES Brand.
