Ten Years Ago Today

Wow. Today is my ten year anniversary. That’s right, I started this portfolio blog ten years ago today. I’ve made 1,235 posts in those ten years too. Kind of hard to believe.

Not much to add at the moment. I just wanted to acknowledge the big anniversary.

I’m buried under class preparation. This semester I am teaching three classes at Kennesaw State University, and two classes at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Yep, I’m gonna be busy as hell this semester. All good though, I love the teaching part of teaching.

Here’s to ten years!

Would’ve never remembered the anniversary if I didn’t leave a note for myself.

Into the Orange

Since last May, so much has happened. I plan to stay on my upward trajectory. I’m going to keep myself in the orange as best I can.

The Color Orange: Orange indicates self-assurance, excitement, and zeal. Orange possesses orange-spiritual properties such as creativity, emotional balance, sexuality, harmony, passion, freedom, intuition, and emotional expression. Seeing orange is said to be an excellent omen. It means that there will be much happiness for you.

Mastering the Art of Contradiction: Exhibition Photos

The curtain has fallen on the first rendition of Mastering the Art of Contradiction. The exhibition has concluded. I was very happy with the work and how it looked in the gallery space. Thanks again to all that came out to take a look. Here are some photos from the exhibition.

This exhibition will be on display again in September 2019 at Glynn Visual Arts, in St. Simons Island, GA. More details to come.

In the meantime, please remember that all work is for sale through me, the artist. Contact me directly at brett@brettcallero.com with any inquiries about prices and availability.

Hunkered Down

I’m as focused as I can be. Other than seeing clouds as thought bubbles, my imagination is focused on this new body of work. I’m hunkered down, but I’ve still got a million fragments that I’m furiously weaving together into a cohesive visual experience (or something like that). I’ll be hunkered down continuously until October.

I’ve got some things to say, so I keep on fighting!
